New Studio is Complete, New Album in Progress.

Since my move back to Miami in August, my father and I decided to work on improving the music room. I sketched out some of the blueprints on how I wanted everything connected and set up, we purchased the materials and began building the sound absorber panels. I am very comfortable with the noise floor as the room is extremely quiet, yet keeping some of the natural acoustics of the room. The technical part of the process is complete. For the first time in my life my toys are all in the same place. Now it’s time for creativity. I’ll keep you posted on the new music.

New Studio Set Up

Hi Everyone!

I will be moving my studio to a new location and will be investing a lot of time and effort in developing a new set up. This will be a new and improved set up from my previous ones which will allow me to stream my music live to you, no matter where you are in the world. Viewers can log in via Facebook and Twitter in order to chat with me directly on my website. This is makes it convenient for anyone who does not live in Chicago and cannot make it out to any of my shows here. If you do live in Chicago, this is the start of a brand new relationship. I am converting my studio apartment into a recording, broadcasting and art studio, and I’m currently working on the blueprints to be able to manage and stream both my original music and my artwork.

I will be posting pictures of the process until eventually everything is exactly the way I intend it to be so I can just plug and play, or paint. As always, thanks for reading and keeping in touch. This is only the beginning.

Update

Open Mics Coming Soon

I recently purchased an electric acoustic guitar and will be performing at open mics around Chicago to finally get this journey started off.  Since I’m on a limited budget, this particular guitar caught my attention. It plays great, sounds great and unlike most acoustic guitars, Martins sit in the mix particularly well in both live and studio situations. It’s also got a built-in tuner and equalizer to eliminate any unwanted frequencies. Basically, this is my first tool in performing live. I am currently looking for places to perform where they would accept acoustic acts that cant yet draw a big crowd, but will still get me some exposure so that I eventually can. But first thing’s first, I gotta work on some new tunes and polish some old ones. You should find me in a corner of a coffee shop soon.

I just moved to Chicago

Just moved to Chicago! After living in Miami my whole life, I knew that eventually I would need to relocate in order to find a music scene that would actually accept my kind of music (rock). I chose Chicago over places like Los Angeles, New York and Nashville because it’s where my parents met as children and because most of the locals are very friendly. I am also a huge sports fan as well.  I know that it’s going to be a challenge since no one in Chicago knows who I am or what my music sounds like. As far as music, not even I know how the songs will eventually sound, but I know that I will be starting from the ground up, building my fan base one person at a time.  If you’d like to hear samples of my older music (2009) there are a few tracks uploaded here. To stay updated with my journey as a new musician in Chicago, you can visit my tumblr blog which acts my daily life-cast.
